Custom remapping, built around your engine
We expertly adjust fuelling, ignition, boost and more so the engine performs at its most efficient. Remaps bring power gains of up to 35%, substantial torque across the range (fantastic for towing: fewer down changes, fewer revs) and better economy, if you can resist all that extra power.
Economy maps
If you just want to combat today's high fuel prices, we offer economy maps with up to 20% gains in economy. We offer various stages of tune and you can go straight in at any level.
Stage 2+ custom remaps
Full custom Stage 2+ remaps, including maps for extensive modifications on certain VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda vehicles as well as certain BMW and Porsche models (especially 997 generation 911 Turbo models).
Full custom maps from a data log
We take a full data log of your car, on the road or on the rolling road, to see how your specific car performs, then build the map for it. Perfect for major modifications such as larger turbos, intercoolers and injectors, or for anyone wanting the ultimate in bespoke remaps.
Aftermarket engine management
We cater for most leading stand alone ECUs, such as Emerald, DTA, ECU Masters, Motorsport Electronics, MS2 and MS3 to name but a few.
The latest anti-tuning ECUs
We tune the latest anti-tuning ECUs from Audi, BMW, Mercedes and VW, including the Bosch MD1 and MG1 series on the latest turbo diesels, hybrids and petrol vehicles.
Always reversible
If you ever want to revert the car to its original map, the original settings are saved on our server. Maps can be swapped between modified and standard as often as you like.
On the bench
Autotuner, Magic Flex, Kess v2, Ktag and CMD
A wide selection of industry leading tools lets us safely tune the latest ECUs despite their anti-tuning protection.

The rolling road
We invested tens of thousands of pounds in the VT/B2 Modular Dynamometer, specially shipped over from Europe: the most advanced dyno in V-Tech's range. It is mechanically connected between the front and rear axles, so we can measure modern AWD cars with high tech torque distribution, and 2WD cars with advanced traction control.
- Braking torque
- 3200 Nm
- Measures up to
- 2000HP
- Drivetrains
- AWD/4x4/FWD/RWD
- Brakes
- Twin eddy current
- Two eddy current brakes with a total braking torque of 3200 Nm, and a powerful FRENESLA eddy brake that makes steady state tuning possible.
- Power and torque in inertial and braked modes, power at the wheels in constant rpm mode, and road-mode testing.
- Real-time torque and horsepower at steady and changing speeds, to evaluate changes to fuel or timing maps, diagnose engine and drivetrain problems and troubleshoot drivability issues.
- Solid construction with zinc plated knurled rollers, ready for acceleration, step and sweep tests.
Renowned as one of the most accurate dynos, providing genuine figures, not Hollywood figures!

Power gains and prices
Prices start from as little as £185, up to £650 for a stage 3 custom remap. The gains we quote are conservative stage one gains: in reality they are often higher, especially at stage 2 and above.
We are confident our prices are the best around, and to that end we will try and beat any genuine quote.

Truck and HGV remapping
Up to 15% fuel saving
Fuel is one of the biggest costs in road transport, and one of the simplest and cheapest ways to an almost immediate payback is remapping the engine ECU. A typical remap lets the engine produce more torque lower in the rev range, so higher gears can be selected earlier or held for longer before down shifting.
With that revised gear change strategy, fuel savings of between 5% and 20% are often achievable, with typical improvements in MPG of between 10% - 15%. Driven professionally, we would expect on average around a 10% reduction in your fuel bill, possibly more. Driver training still matters, but most drivers see savings within the first few trips, and the bigger range saves time too.
Trucks we remap

- Iveco
- MAN
- Mercedes-Benz
- Renault
- Scania

Vans and towing cars too
More torque low down suits anything that works hard: Vivaro and Movano vans, a VW T5, and the 4x4s and SUVs that pull caravans up hills. Less gear changing, better acceleration and better economy.

What drivers say
“Booked my audi s3 in with gareth for some engine work and a remap on the engine and automatic gear box. Both gareth and ian talked through my options, and what was going to be done. And all I can say is wow what a massive difference the work they carried out has done to my car. When I went to pick it up it has also been washed. Thankyou so much these guys know what they are doing...”
“BMW 635D 2008 Went in with 286 hp 580nm and left with approx 370hp 780nm!!! What a huge difference! It was definitely worth travelling from Essex all the way to Brigg for this remap.”
“Tuned 3 cars for me now. 2 of which have been tuned for over 4 years and been flawless. Would recommend if looking for a reasonably priced tuner who knows their stuff.”
“Top lads, sorted out an issue I had with a tune. Very knowledgeable and friendly, would highly recommend.”

Remapping questions
Why does a turbo-charged vehicle gain so much more power from a remap than a normally aspirated one?
The turbocharger compresses air into the cylinder above atmospheric pressure, so much more fuel can be burnt in a given cylinder size. We modify the timing and fuelling so the engine effectively responds as if it has a larger CC. In some instances this can achieve 100% more power and torque. A normally aspirated engine can achieve 10% more power and torque by careful programming of the fuel pulse and ignition maps, and more again with camshafts, exhausts, air filters and high octane fuel.
Why wasn't my car given this extra power from the factory?
The engineers know the extra power and torque is there, but engines are sold into an enormous range of conditions around the world: varying fuel octane, air temperatures and altitudes, plus fuel economy and emissions regulations. Manufacturers adopt a safe all round compromise, and leave room for owners who skip services and use the worst fuel possible. We clear those compromises for the driver who looks after their vehicle, while still leaving the reserves needed for reliability.
In what rpm range is the extra power released?
On most vehicles you will feel the power over the entire power band of the engine, but especially in the lower and middle rev range.
Will a remap reduce my engine's life expectancy?
No. The power reserves of the engine are so large that you don't have to expect more engine wear. We optimise the fuel and ignition curves without exceeding the limits of your car's engine.
What about my fuel consumption?
With the same driving style, improvements in fuel consumption of up to 20% are possible, especially in turbo diesel engines.
Can I go back to my original ECU software?
All that is changed is the software within your ECU. We keep a copy of your original software on file so we can simply programme it back should you require us to do so.
Will I need to upgrade the chassis or brakes?
On 90% of vehicles, you don't need to upgrade the chassis or brakes after the remap.
Are these generic maps? Should I be having a custom map?
Our maps are not generic. They are tailored to your specific engine, based on your original ECU map, then tweaked to get the best out of it. We develop many maps in house and also work with mapping specialists to offer the widest selection of vehicles. Higher stages of tuning for very highly modified vehicles cost more because of the extra data logging and testing they need.
What if I get the work done and don't notice a difference?
You really will! But if you are not happy and you genuinely don't notice a difference, we will return your ECU to the original map and we won't take any money from you.
My airbag or engine management light is on. Can you help?
If you own a post 1997 car from the VW/Audi Group (VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda) we can read the fault codes and in a lot of cases clear them. Sometimes the ECU throws a code as a one off rather than because of a real problem. If there is a genuine problem the light will come back on, and from the code we can diagnose it and advise on how to repair it. Please note we are not a garage, so we won't be scouting for work.
Are you insured?
Absolutely. We have full public & product liability insurance.
Can you alter the mileage my car is displaying?
Yes we can. Will we? Absolutely not. Not even if you have had to replace your clocks. Sorry, but we simply won't alter a vehicle's mileage so please don't ask.
